2017年度“FDI国际投资仲裁模拟法庭竞赛”招募通知

 

随着我院参与的2017年度“法兰克福投资仲裁模拟法庭竞赛”(Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court)落下帷幕，本年度“FDI国际投资仲裁模拟法庭竞赛”(Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot，以下称“FDI竞赛”)启动备赛。作为首次引入，该赛事将取代“法兰克福竞赛”，成为我院在国际投资法领域重点扶持的竞赛，从而与Jessup、Vis Moot、ELSA-WTO、Price和ICC等五大国际模庭竞赛比肩，共同服务于我院培养卓越涉外法律人才的战略目标。

我院参与的“FDI竞赛”是其2017年度的亚太区域赛，将于2017年8月9日-12日在韩国的首尔国立大学（Seoul National University）举行。为此，学院“模拟法庭俱乐部”现开展招募选拔，由学院层面指导和监督，欢迎广大同学踊跃报名。具体报名事项如下：

1.选拔对象：报名面向法学院全体在读学生。但因赛事本身可能对参赛学生的身份有所要求，请在报名前查阅核实。

2.选拔流程：赛事招募实行统一报名、统一选拔，具体分为如下两阶段：

a.申请报名：报名须不晚于2017年3月18日24：00，包括提交申请材料（见附件1、附件2）和个人中英文简历，均发至邮箱：uibemootcourt@163.com。

b.笔试、面试：选拔将先笔试、后面试，分阶段推进。其中，笔试答案提交须不晚于2017年3月21日24：00，发送至邮箱：uibemootcourt@163.com。日程安排和相应的笔试要求，详见附件3（International Moot Court Recruitment Schedule）和附件4（“2017 FDI Moot Case Problem”）。

3.选拔标准：申请人的英语水准、专业基础固然重要，但我们更强调团队合作、纪律性、责任感和奉献精神，以及踏实勤奋、坚韧不拔的品格意志。申请人对笔试、面试的认真程度，将是我们了解其是否具备前述素质的第一步。

 

我院以培养卓越涉外法律人才见长，国际模拟法庭竞赛的作用不言而喻。在2016-2017学年中，学院的各项国际模庭赛事捷报频传，充分展示了贸法学子的实力和风采。“FDI竞赛”的引入，将是推动我院国际化经贸法律人才培养工程走向深入的重要一步。而你的参与，不仅是自我的造就，更是贸大法学院的成就。我们期待你的加入！

附：FDI国际模拟法庭竞赛简介

Increasing international investment, the proliferation of international investment treaties, domestic legislation, and international investment contracts have contributed to the development of a new field of international law that defines obligations between host States and foreign investors and refers to internationalized procedures (e.g. ICSID) for resolving related disputes. These disputes involve not only vast sums, but also a panoply of rights, duties, and shifting objectives at the juncture of national and international law and policy.

Against this backdrop, the FDI Moot helps future lawyers attain a practical understanding of these issues. The case and hearings offer a unique forum for academics and practitioners from around the world to discuss developments - and assess emerging talents. The FDI Moot spans approximately six months each year in two phases, written memorials for claimant and respondent and the hearing of oral argument. Regional rounds will be held for Asia Pacific (Seoul), South Asia (New Delhi), and Africa (Nairobi). In particular, the Asia Pacific round will be held on August 9-12, 2017.
