Master’s Program


Program Period: 1-2 years

Major: International Economic and Commercial Law

Target Applicants: International undergraduates possessing strong English oral, reading and writing ability and who have passed UIBE’s application process.

Date of Enrollment: March and September

Teaching Language: English

Credit Requirement: The total number of credits required for a master degree is 27(including 3 credits of the Chinese Language), the minimum credits in one semester is 12, the maximum is 18.

Program Aims: Generally, to train high-quality international legal professionals with a full-scale knowledge and in-depth understanding of Chinese law, and capable of practicing law accordingly in commercial and economic fields.

Specifically, to develop students’ research and writing skills, help them acquainted with the progress in legal regime and practice, and enable them to critically analyze and efficiently argue in writing and orally.

Degree Requirement: Students who fulfill the credit requirements, complete a dissertation of 8,000-10,000 words in English and successfully defend their thesis will be awarded the international master’s degree of law.
